Marco de Aguilar Milanese, Director

Madrid 1972

Born in Madrid in 1972. His father is a well know theatre director from the National Classic Company. Since very young he has been in contact with theatre world, where he developed a great interest for dramatic art. He started to work very young as a runner on feature films. He had the chance to work together with Almodovar and Carlos Saura.  His Fast learning and the fact that he speaks several languages allowed him to start working on International projects, such as 2nd AD for “007 The world is not enough” Michel Apted, Location Manager “Sexy Beast” by Jonathan Galtzer; Location Manager “Mission Impossible II” by John  Woo.

In 2000 he started directing commercials, and his first directing commercial is Retevision, a great campaign that has been remembered for years in the Spanish market. Since then, Marco has been shooting commercials with great success in Spain and abroad.

In 2009 Kanzam Film Productions called him to Direct his first Long film “Senderos del Alma”  (Flamenco: A way of life). Creating a film of unique cultural importance and perhaps one of the most authentic documents about the great development and growth of the Flamenco Music during the last thirty years. In this coral film that talks about music you can find and meet all the greatest flamenco legends.

Nowadays he is based between Madrid, Rome and Rejkjavik, working in commercials and preparing two new feature films.

Marco speaks English, Italian and Spanish.
